hey, im trying to make a mini xbox, and so to save room by not using the PSU im wondering if one of
these will work???

Not completely sure on this, but I don't think it would because I think a feature of the Xbox PSU that makes it very hard to replace by a computer PSU is that it produces both 12 volts and 5 volts. Don't quote me on that, but that's what I got from what others have said when wanting to replace their PSU's, I could have misunderstood though.

Computer PSU's also use 12v and 5v. The xbox PSU is pretty much the same but specifically designed for the xbox. Im quite sure that it is replaceable however i doubt that one you showed will work.
You could save room by making the original PSU external and built your own enclosure for it. Like the 360. You could make it from plexi, that would be awesome. However if the box needs to be portable then im talking rubbish.

in that case, what would be the best way to go about testing and modding other PSU's ? also... another idea i had was to combine two boxs in a single stock case.... if i did this would i be ok to splice just one of the PSU's and run both off of it?
