i have installed the chip... but when i try to get it turned on the chip doesnt even start up..

the xbox will start up on the normal bios... but i get the error 6 screen...


would this mean that i have a few wires crossed?


hints to the problem would be nice...

oh... when i first started it up... it would go to the time setup screen... but then after a few tries with turning it off and on... it wouldnt start again... i would get the error 7 screen with the hd making strange screens...

but then i have anouther screen and it started with the error 6 screen...

help would be nice... thanks

This is nothing to do with the chip.
Error 6 the HDD you have is locked with a different key to the one in your Xbox eeprom.
Error 7 the HDD is failing anyway
Fit a new HDD

No. You need a new HDD first

well i installed the hd... and tried to start it up....

and came up with an error 16...

i installed the hd on a different xbox and it worked fine...

also i have only installed 2 wires on this xbox...

for for the DO... and BT points...

but if you could give me some hints that would be nice...

ok... well i looked around...
and found that if i insalled the hd on a already modded xbox and installed the software that it would start to work..

and now that i have...

i also unlocked the hd...

but...

now im getting error 5...

so... i dont know if the chip is working or not... any ideas?

Error 5 only appears with the retail bios so the chip is not working if error 5 is displayed

so maybe the do and the b1 point need to be resodered?

the BT point the chip is gone...

well first off you need to learn how not to post the same stuff in 2 threads @ once lol , right i dont have an aladdin ex handy but can you follow the trace from where the bt point was to its termination point ?? , if not perhaps maybe chancer or one of the other top boys round here could post a modified pic of where u have to connect the bt point to , but as ive said in posts before if you can manage to f**k one of the points on the chip then the chances are you dont have the skill required to install the chip properly , try getting someone who knows how to solder to sort things for you

p.s just re- read your post and i aint sure if its the bt point on the modchip or the bt point on the xbox motherboard you have knackered , if it is the motherboard bt point then and you have lost one of the resistors/capacitors then you really do need to get it to someone who knows what they r doing

pps if you would like someone to repair it you will need to post where you are located , theres good modders from all over the world in here , im sure someone will be close to you and sort you out
