If anyone else is using Mac OSX and would like to play xbox online download Aquaduct. It is the 1st xbox tunneling app for Macintosh that I've seen and we need more players! Post your info for other users here. please include :

1. location
2. email
3. best time to contact
4. messenger contact
5. ip address for aquaduct (static or whatever)

It doesn't look like there is a database yet for aquaduct so the more users that respond here the better. msg me or post if you have any questions

How's it compare to xbconnect etc speed wise?

I haven't used xboxconnect but i tried the gamespy tunnel. I didn't like the gamespy version because it was lagging. The thing about aquaduct is you specify an ip address to connect to. There is no database of users setup. Personally I found it lag-free playing halo, but that was against a friend who lives 20min away. It's good for online playing but I would like to see an app that is run from evolution x or avalaunch that would connect you to other users and enable system link games so that you don't need to use a computer. Does that exist?...and don't say XBLIVE!

do you need to be physically connected to the LAN to make aquaduct work, or can you have wireless macs? I JUST added a hard line connection to my xbox (was using a WET11.. anyone want to buy one?) as I had some latency problems with my wireless network in the xbox room. But, my mac is still wireless (added an airport base station right next to the xbox, so mac gets great coverage now in that room).

I'm so wanting to play link games. Hopefully, the mac/xbox community will embrace this tool. I know I've done everything with my xbox from my mac, never from my PC.

I believe that as long as your hub and you mac are on the same network, aquaduct shud work. Aquaduct looks for you xbox on the same network as your mac and tunnels your xbox thru the app to connect to other aquaduct users that you specify. Only thing missing from aquaduct is a database of users to connect with. I have heard (thru the grapevine, of course) that a certain system link tunnel program is in development to run right from the xbox, no more need for a computer to play system link games on the internet! The challenge with this is...getting the app to run in the background whilst the game running and acknowledging a system link network is active. What FTP program / settings are you using for Mac OSX to connect to your xbox?

Same network seems to work fine.

I tried to run Aquaduct but found it frustrating that it "There is no database of users setup". Gaveup on it and stuck with xbconnect (did how-ever e-mail xbconnect requesting they make an OS X version, no response though).

Yea, I know what you mean. A database wud be nice. I've played against friends with aquaduct and it works pretty good. When / if aquaduct updates I hope they add a database feature. I didn't like xbconnect because it had alot of lag and I had to start up virtual pc to use it. Mac OSX is easier to develop for so hopefully we'll see more apps soon. Don't get me started on complaining about nobody making a tunnel app runnin from the xbox instead...
