Hey all, hope you can help me out with this.

I just got an HDTV and the HDTV component cable for the xbox.

I'm using a recent build of XBMC, the compressed filename is XBMC-CVS_2006-04-12-T3CH.rar.

For some reason, both with this version of XBMC and the year-old one I had on there, the video settings will only allow me to select 4:3 or auto (either way looks the same) and yet my TV is widescreen.

I can tell that pictures, video, and xbox games ARE working in HD so whats up with that? I'm using Project Mayhem Skin version 3, I can tell there are many resolution modes so I don't know why I can only do one.

Any ideas?

Have you enabled the HDTV modes and the widescreen mode in your MS dashboard. If you are completely sure that your pictures, video and xbox games are working in HD then it probably has already been switched but I'd check just to see as the Project Mayhem Skin works fine for me in HDTV resolutions.

i had the same problem sort of.. when you're in the xbox dash, where you set the resolution that your tv is capable of displaying, i had to press the triggers and the joysticks all at the same time.

magically, it worked.
