You also forgot ABC's Hot or Not..
That show was gay as hell. Seems like anyone and everyone is copying American Idol.. A.I. has got their own thing, anyone trying to do what they are doing won't come close...

Farscape definitely was one of the better shows, haven't watched it in several years, though.
Those "Sci-Fi" shows tend to get a bit racy after the first couple of years.

-Well, the "birds" were hotties and my girlfriend even liked watching it with me. May have had some lame aspects to it but it was enjoyable. Surprisingly I really don't watch much tv.

I would really like to know what Fox execs are thinking-- Family Guy was canceled, Futurama was canceled, Andy Richter was canceled. And yet they still drag The Simpsons into a 15th and 16th season, even though it should have been canned 3 years ago. Sheesh.

Oz and Buffy aren't cancelled. If the producers wanted to do another season they could have. They chose to end the series.
In this sense MASH and Seinfeld were cancelled, too.

Fox has some f'ed over thinking. They are canceling some damn good shows. Futurama was just behind Simpsons and Southpark in my book. At least i can still watch the show on adult swim, to bad it is only repeats now. Family guy was also funny but no, Fox likes to cancel the good shows. What next the Simpsons??

They just aren't getting the ratings. Advertisers won't pay the big bucks if that's not happening.
I HATE how the stupid TV industry does ratings. Stupid Neilsons and sweeps...

Ratings are so stupid. Having the lowest common denominator decide what TV shows are worth watching...
I just hope they kick the networks off the happy welfare train they are on now, and gradually shift everything to content that you pay for. I guarantee you that would ensure a higher quality level, just like HBO does. I can't think of a single network station I would pay for...
But that's a pipe dream. Corporate welfare, just like agriculture subsidies, is here to stay...ensuring that Family Guy gets canceled and Fox's next Monica Lewinsky feature is a hit
As American as that commie new deal.

Of course, but it's a much more targeted system when you pay to watch a channel. There *is* room on the air for both the Sopranos and Friends/Dawson's whateverthefuck. But there is no need for 90% of the programming to pursue the same 51% demographic of slack-jawed morons.

Soon there will be no real tv shows, only reality tv garbage. I even saw a preview for a reality tv movie coming soon. Networks don't even give new shows a chance anymore. They cancel shows after 2 episodes.
Just say screw them and don't support any of their programs at all.

Family Guy was/is one of the best animated comedies I've ever seen in my life. Never have I literally fell out of a chair laughing at a joke on the TV; Family Guy made me do that, and it's a damn shame they cancelled it.
I don't think it was much about the ratings as to why they canceled it. I believe it was because it was just rubbing a few interest groups the wrong way. Look at the first season; it's composed of a whole 6 episodes (about half a season) because they took it off-air from complaints. The last episode of the series was never even aired, as that was getting complaints BEFORE it even aired on primetime.
Still no excuse to can it. I hope the execs and the complainers burn in hell for it!

You're right there. The only place you'll find the Christian Moral Majority types in bed with leftist political correctness freaks is when it comes to destroying worthwile tv. and music. Well, you know what I mean.
Didn't hurt it was in such an awful time slot tho....I can't imagine the ratings were too good, I know that's why I often missed it.

Yea, I havn't watched TV is a couple of weeks, except Most Extreme Challenge Elimination (whatever) on TNN. That is one of the funniest things I have seen in a while. It's on Saturday night (and I know all YOU don't have anything to do

), but for the cool kids, like me, it is also on sunday night. TNN will probly get rid of that too, and I'll just be sitting in a padded cell sucking my thumb watching the same 50 episodes of Family Guy on XBMP over...and over....and over....and over....
