Anybody know how to get past the level where you attack Rabaul, the Japanese airfield? It's the one where you have to destroy the zeroes that are taking off, kill all the AA guns near the runway, and protect the bomber squadron from any zeroes that manage to make it off the ground. This is way too much for just 4 fighters to handle, and I have tried getting through this mission like 50 times already. The mission objectives just say to destroy the airfield and protect the bombers, but which one is higher priority? I tried it both ways, focusing on only the enemy fighters, but still failed. Then I focused only on destroying the airfield, but by the time the bombers made it there, the zeroes had all but decimated them, resulting in failure. This is really starting to piss me off, and I was hoping someone around here has passed this mission and would be able to tell me the best way to go about it. Any help would be much apprediated. Thanks in advance.

I would like to know the answer to this as well. My brother (spartan018) and I have all but given up on this game for the time being because we are still stuck on that level. Let us know as soon as you figure it out, as this game has been pi$$in me off since he posted his original question. Thanks in advance.

www.gamefaqs.com Find the game & go to the message board. It's been discussed to death on how to do it.

Thanks a bunch. I found the thread that it was being discussed in, and used some of the suggestions that were posted. Got through it in 2 tries. The rest of the game was relatively easy after that level. Thanks again.
