I have a mod chip (unknown chip with stock hard drive) installed in my xbox. I downloaded xbmc already compiled. I burnt on cd-r. I put in xbox and can not reconize disc. I put in a backed up game on sam type of cd-r and it works fine. Is there a moron's guide to get xbmc to work cause I cant. Can anyone help?

Okay... generally i would recommend using FTP to add the files of XMBC to your Xbox and either running it as an application off your dashboard(avalaunch, evolx, unleash) or as a dashboard itself..

Read the online guide it will walk you through anything, please be patient and actually read and look through the guide for what you are needing to do, the whole burning a CD to run XMBC will also most likely be described on the XMBC guide...

You might have better luck with cd-rw's.
