Hello, let me thank you for takin the time to read this...

Ok here it is...i totally new to the mod scene and i would like someone in the know to point me in the direction to a cheap solderless modchip so that i can play my xbox games off the hdd.

Note : i have read the forums and still dont know what to look for, i mean i wouldnt be able to tell a clone from the real thing, and i dont know of any reliable websites...

You could also try divineo.co.uk or mrmodchips.com or looking up the offical homepage of the makers of the chip your going to choose for example Team Excuter's website as they have a list of trusted sites that sell their chips.

With the words cheap & solderless is the same sentence you are probably looking for nothing put problems. You see threads in here from time to time about people with fragging issues.

I'm not telling you not to do it. If you do buy solderless at least get something good. I suggest you go with a soldered chip. That's just MHO though.

I ahve 2 box's both chipped with Xecuter solderless chips and they work fine with no problems - unless u drop the box and then the chip will move slightly, just needs a push back again tho - As long as you buy a decent chip in the first place from 1 of the good developers then you shouldn't have any problems.
