My mate has a modded xbox its an old LDOTS mod he informs me that all he did was mess around with an old version of XBMC settings, refresh rate and resolution etc.
Now you switch on the xbox and it has the flubber then goes to a screen with lots of colours thats it it will not boot any games and you cant access via FTP so is this a hardware mod only to restore to working xbox ?
Its a crystal 2004 edition not sure if thats 1.5 or 1.6.
I am interested to know what he actually did to kill the hardware and if it is recoverable at all software wise.

xbmc or xbmp? xbmp is known to corrupt eeproms. Sounds eeprom related and yeah you will need a hardware mod to fix.

He did say XBMC but maybe it was XBMP.
