I have a D-Link router thats runs at 11mps & 2.46ghz. My Xbox is moded so I use XBConnect which seems to be the program of choice right now for moded xboxs'. I connect to XBConnect with Halo 2 then I join a server on my xbox put it laggs like crazy always spoting me back to where i started or reconnecting every minute or so... So i was just wondering is their something wrong with my router i run it through rogers high-speed.

Well the host of the game helps determine the speed of the game, what pings are you getting when you join a room? The lower the ping the better the gameplay will be. If it's so you can play with a friend I suggest you both join a game with a good ping and play on someone else's host, ones with a lightening bolt are tested servers and are excellent to play on. Other than that try to limit the internet usage in the house, ie don't download HUGE files or music when you're trying to play, I even cut off AIM and other messenging programs just to optimize everything.
