I have a suggestion for a frontpage poll.. mainly because I'd be interested in the result.
"How many official xbox headsets of yours have broken?"
with none/1-2/3-4 or something similiar as options. Because personally, and everyone I know, have broken their headsets right on the little peice that holds the earpiece onto the headband.

interesting poll idea.
I can attest to the problem with headset quality, both in the structure, and the audio part.

Im at none

I just went with the halo 2 headset right away and haven't had a single problem in the last 1 and a half years.

mine just goofed out...
i have to gently slide it into the on position, just before its all the way to the right for it to work... and i just sold 3 i got with gold live packs too...
would be a good poll.
edit: and id use my madkatz or other headset, but theres no mute, and id hate being one of those people with no mute.

my friend has the halo headset, says its great except for the fact that his girlfriend cleaned off the table with all but one of his ear piece replacements on it.
i think its down to 20 bucks now... no mute though.
edit: just took my mic apart, something to check if yours stopped working, at least if the problem is with no voice, or no mute.

I snapped that STUPID little plastic tab off the holds it to the neckwrap part off... double sided table wouldn't hold it... even hot glue (doused in) came off.
Made me angry... do I took an old pair of headphones and would wear those OVER the headset any time I played on LIVE.
That only happenned with my Xbox one, though, the 360 one is fine.

i use mine with the original communicator dongle, so i get that mute button

i got mine for free when they were selling 50

a friend of mine found it at gamecraze for 15 dollars (it was mistagged as a regualr headset) and he gave it to me because he never used it

huh, I have 2 headsets and neither of them have broke... probably because I rarely use them and when I do I randomly choose when one I'm using...
They do fell like they could snap under a stiff breeze though.

it's been retired since 360 Launch day.
I only play live on the 360's now. the gen one consoles are all XBMC only.. or retired outright.

Had my original one break on me (Same place as everyone else). Replaced it. I tried the halo plantronics headset, but never did get quite used to it so I returned it

So far the 360 headset has treated me well though...

owned = 2
broken = 2
You have to wonder why they didn't make the clip any stronger. Mine have broken from general usage since I'm never rough with my stuff. Epoxy did the job though.
My 360 headset is still goin strong and the way it's built, I don't see it breaking anytime soon.
I would love to see this as a poll as well.

has there been a poll on controllers yet??i gotta admit the 360 controllers are awful compared to the ps2dual. in order from favorite to least would prolly be ps2 ,xbox ,360. I think if the ps2 dual shocks had triggers like the xbox controllers they would be perfect!!

i got no beef with the controller.... my favorite controller to date is from my first system, intellivision!
