Alright i JUST got my xbox softmodded with Evolution-X and i need to unlock the HDD so i can ftp to the xbox ive already tryed going into the system settings and selecting unlock Hard drive and that didnt work so im a bit stuck here ive already looked through most of the tutorials in the sticky and i couldnt find anything concerning my particular situation if anyone could help me out it would be a big help, or if it isnt possible to upgrade the HDD im just going to restore it back to the original dash

If you don't wanna buy a modchip to fix your xbox you might wanna STOP trying to unlock your harddisk. Unlocking the hdd has nothing to do with being able to ftp and will only leave you with a dead xbox. For upgrading the hd follow the tuts in the pinned topics and stop doing ridicolous things by yourself

Thats classic.. But your inability to ftp has nothing to do with it being locked, and everything to do with your lack of networking experience.. Noob forum is the best place to find info on getting ftp running..

Tho the wise ones have spoken, I really dont know why you would want to FTP for in the first place if you dont know what your doing let alone unlocking and locking a HDD.

Maybe the tutorial section is your first stop then read pinned topics.
