most maps are either, snow, city, or field. with not too much difference.

are these maps worth my hard earned 400 points that took me forever to get from the verizon contest?

Don't know if they're worth it, because I've downloaded them but only walked around them offline once. So for play I don't know.

The Russian one is snow again. It is basically a destroyed building, something like an apartment. So imagine missing walls, holes in the floor, no roof, 2-3(or maybe just 2) levels and most of the center part of the building missing. So you can be on one side of the bombed out apartment and see someone on the other side. And relatively small map.

The other one is taken from the singleplayer mission, Silo. I don't know if it's exactly the same cuz I haven't played that mission in months, but it's definately that map to a large extent. There are buildings, empty farmland, the silo, etc. And yes, you can climb onto the silo. I even tried and succeeded at throwing a grenade on to the top. So if that is prime sniper property for LIVE, like I expect it to be, you can grenade em. It seems like a pretty big map, but alot of it is empty farmland that probably won't be used.

despite the fact you dont seem too thrilled.. i think they sound decent...

just sucks i have so few points, so its either the CoD maps or a XBLA game.

the one with the tower is...the one with all the buildings is ok...both seem like larger maps than the 2 free ones


no new xbla games except uno...and both maps are better than uno!! hehe

The one with the tower is bad ass...

They're definately worth having, even tho only 1x map is new from scratch as the other 3x are taken from the single player level - the 1x completely new level is somewhat basic to say the least but the others are fun (for certain types of games)

Hopefully the July ones will be better.

The one with the tower gets old fast because its a sniper feast.. but the good news is.... it's easy as hell to throw grenades up there so it kind of equals it ok..

i actually ended up getting them, and the host had the rule of "no scopes" so it was pretty kick ass.

i think they are worth it.

well people that buy them are of course going to try and convince themselves that they are worth it :-/ not sure how to get around the biasness.

i did not buy them so i have no idea, just puttin in my 2 cents .

200 from a 70 dollar gold pack with i paid 15 for, sold the headset for 15, the card for 40 and got a 20 buck rebate on a game with

worth it to me... if it was $$$ i probably wouldnt have gotten them, but they do add to an awesome game.

If you dont buy them and join a game where someone who did is hosting you can play. Can someone else confirm this cause Im pretty sure I was playing the Silo one last night and I havent purchased the 2 maps.

i thought they got kicked out when game launched...the silo is right next to a barn..can't see how you would beable to play it if you never d/led to your system..but if you can play them ...great!.. 5 more coming real soon!

try to host and goto map selector and see if it's unlocked ...if so host it and see if it launches

opps I looked and the silo map I was playing on was Beltaut, France (spelling?) When you try to play on the new maps if you dont have them it boots you.
