This noise pops up every now and again.
Like an electric "Clunk/Bark"

It's not anything I seem to be able to control.

It only happens in a firefight. Maybe it's a realistic depiction of fire whizzing past your skull? Not having been shot at ever I've no idea.
It seems to be after a shootout, maybe it's an indicator that you can order your men to go back to recon mode.
Will try it tonight (am at the train station level just got the sniper rifle and spent 15 mins looking for the sniper [he's on the big storage tank thing])
