iv just got my new hdd going 120gb
you dont format it in your pc.
you can make a format cd with evox
or format with flash ftp

here TRY THIS

To install mine I:

1: Backed up my C & E partitions onto my pc from my original hdd

2: Didn't prepare the new hdd in anyway, just created an EvoX format disc

3: Copied my C & E partitions back onto my new drive.

Make sure you have the "Use F drive" option enable in EvoX after you install the new drive.

Your best bet is prolly to get the slayer's installer. It does everything pretty much for you. Then it allows you to change what you want. VERY nice and easy to use. SAved me alot of work when I went to a WD 100gb.

slayer doies everything for u.. its either for the lazy or the perosn that doesnt know anyting about prelacing hd's(which isnt neccessarily bad)... but it makes the process faster for u... but if u really want to know how to do things... adn to know shit about ur xbox... and organize it the way u want... it be better to install it the old way before slayer came out... a lot of ppl dont like slayer cause it makes it to easy... and u dont really learn anyting.... so if somehting breaks... u have no clue how to fix it... bc u didnt do any of the work/(figuring out) urself... u let a program do it for u...anyays... slayer is good if u dont care and ur lazy and u just wanna play games... the other way is good if u want to know what ur doing... u might also want XBMP... the dongle-less prpgram... xtoolbox... and emulators

Do it the old fashion way you'll be glad you did when something goes wrong you'll know how to fix it.
