To be honest I can't wait to pick this game up tomorrow. IGN just put their review up:
http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/709/709654p1.htmlFrom the review it sounds like the game is purely a social multiplayer experience, which is why it retails at $40. Anyone else going to give this a try?

Yes, it's a bare-bones game in that there isn't any kind of single player campaign but you can work through single-player tournaments and unlock new costumes and new players. I have to say, the game is kickass fun to play--the controls feel just right. I can't wait to play it online or in a drunken party situation.

This game rules man. . . and its only $40 at that price and the quality of it should definately make it a must have. . . and its addictive as hell

and its at least nice to have to show off the hardware.

Although it's not out in UK you could probably go to an independant and they would sell it to you. They should already have it in stock. I'll be picking mine up tomorrow!

tabble tennis sounds like it should be and XBL Arcade game to me...
b15ginz
May 25 2006, 03:57 AM
XBLA woulda need neat. but the game is good man. this REALLY shows the potential of the 360. COD might have the clearest and sharpest graphics...but i think the player models in this game out beat that game any day.
XBL could be better though. it seems like they hit the ball so much slower.

umm I should hope so, its 2 people, a table, paddles and a ball. CoD 2 at times has a LOT of people on screen with smoke, explosions, vehicles and whatever else...resources have to be spread out.

Maybe they fixed the freezing animation in Multiplayer.

May 27 2006, 03:46 PM
Rented this, grpahics are smooth but i don't like it. Single player is boring, multi-player is fun for the first 1hr or so and then it gets old fast... but that would explain the low price point
(take this as you will, since i don't really care for ping pong or tennis to begin with, so yes, i am biased)

I just signed up at gameaccess.ca and this game is the first on my list, really looking forward to getting it Monday.
BTW Kernal, your sig is WAY too big, read the rules and change it.

I don't care for tennis and especially not table tennis but Rockstar have done it! This game is absolultely amazing! The control style and the way the music kicks in as you begin to rally really works weel.
I knew as soon as I saw Rockstar were making a Table Tennis game there had to be something to it! It's just a pure experience and I love it!

i'm a big fan of this game. i love how if both players are in "the zone" the lights go dark except for around the table itself.
multiplayer is good fun, i prefer local, less lag, but even multiplayer over XBL is nice and smooth.
this game is great. the graphics are top notch (although the game isn't complicated, so i'd hope that'd be the case).

Best sports game so far. I thought FN3 would rock but the animation is retarded.
This one is believable and fun!

I am afraid I have to disagree with some of you.
Yes, this game is very cool, and a concept which just rocks, however the Live is severely lacking.
I am over one side of the table, anticipating the ball (which is coming towards me) and just as my man goes to make a shot, the ball appears on the other side of the table and the opponent is running around wildly.
Sooooooooooo much lag. Still, this isn't the only game affected. I have to say, it's leagues ahead of any EA games that I have played. NFS:MW had me ending up in walls at incredibly random times.
Summary: Great game, fantastic idea, but you have to have real life friends to make it playable (even the girls are keen on this, its so easy) With a few beers and whatnot, it makes for a great fun night!
