Hi! I've read a few tutorials on burning the Backups and i got a thought about it. They all say to use
IMAGE.DVD and
IMAGE.000 for burning, but why couldn't you simply set the layer break, and load & burn the ISO?
Tnx in advance!

On the same topic, does CloneCD.Ver.5.2.9.1 work ( newest ) or is it only CloneCD.Ver.5.2.8.1

Anybody know if its possible to burn IMAGE.DVD and IMAGE.000 on macosx. As Clonecd isnt availale for mac it looks like I cant burn any 360 backups. I was hoping you could burn with an .iso file.

You can burn the iso. As long as the program let's you manuely set the layer break. All the .DVD file does is tell CloneCd where to set the layerbreak so as long as this program you're talking about lets you set the layerbreak, you can burn the iso directly.

Ive been searching for mac burning apps that support manual layer break setting and cant find anything.
Ive heard people saying its like a .bin and .cue setup. Could a bin and cue be created that would have layer break information in it?
Cheers

knome toast will burn the .dvd file. You just need a windows computer to apply the SS. Or if you have the iso already applied, then your good too go. almost any program that mac can be used to burn with, just open the image file in the program.

I dont think toast will USE the .dvd as we need it to. in toast i dont think you can manually add a layerbreak. If so please tell me. Can i rename .000 to .iso because the program i use (toast) wont recognize the .000 format.

I was reading through a few links in google and read that "B's Recorder GOLD X"
http://www.bhacorp.com/products/goldx/goldx.html lets you set a custom layerbreak so there could be hope yet.
Just Cant find it!

use imgburn to manually set the layer break if you dont care to use clonecd 5.2.9.1 ..
i prefer to use clonecd myself (5.2.9.1)

Thx 'erret1' but this is a macintosh (G4/G5's) problem as at the moment there doesnt seem to be any Mac OS apps for setting the layerbreak.
Im hopeing "B's Recorder GOLD X" will do the job.

Actually I presumed the layer breaks were different on 360 games but after comparing some image.dvd files from various releases they all have "LayerBreak=1913760" in the .dvd file so it looks like they are all the same.

there is nothing for Mac yet that I know of. See this thread:
http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=559408I have not tried B's recorder Gold X yet. But I have also heard that you can set the layerbreak manually in it.
