i decided seing as i no longer use live on my original xbox, it would be nice to swap the MS dash for uix.

thanks, but that link only shows you how to install uix parallel to the ms dash, not instead of which is what i would like to know how to do.

so, what you would do is delete (backup first of course) all the items labelled as "msdash" and rename uixs' evoxdash.xbe to xboxdash.xbe.... voila!

sorry if im doing something obviously wrong, but it gives me an error 13 message

Get UIX running as an application from C:/
Put all of the folders and audio and fonts in the right spot and name the xbe default.xbe
Run the UIX default.xbe from boxplorer or any other app that can launch it.
Once you get it running rename the xbe to xboxdash.xbe
When ever you try to boot the M$ dash UIX should load fine.
