I tried the emergency button method on four DVD readers/writers....Did not work on any of them.

I then got an old DVD reader only and hooked it up to a spare external USB case....I chopped it to what I needed and it works great.

Tried the emergency button but it gave me data read errors all the time. Havent opend the drive yet, but i think i will wait and see if there will be an easier way.

I'm using a NEC 3540A and using the e-hole, i was able to backup every game in my collection, I do had to change the first 2 C's in the layout into D but that doesn't affect anything so...

But there's no way in getting the SS using the Wxripper method...
Ecct
well after you use the Wxripper method you can open the iso in XBOX360 SS Merger 1.4 from there it can tell you the ss.bin

I havent tested my backups yet cause I have a Hitachi drive.

Everything looks right, the MD5 of the bin and iso match...

(I used the emergency hole method too, just had to push the drive back in with force in order not to get errors)

taking the ss.bin from an wxripper made iso result in all 00's...

yes i tried biggrin.gif

This is missinformation.....You CAN NOT get the ss from a WxRipper iso. Currently the only way to get SS's is to either download them from the net or get them from your original using the xbox 360 drive.

And yes i have backed up all 16 of my originals using the E-hole and WxRipper on my Pioneer 110D.

yea guys, i have a nec 3520a. I couldnt get it working for the longest time for some reason. But then i like slammed the tray back in after using the paperclip hole, and now its reading. Hope it works smile.gif Oh and i also changed the first 3 C's to D's

i got 2 burners sl Toshiba SD-R5112 (detects the e-ject, no media) and a NEC ND- 2510A,
the 2510 works great, ya, some times i have to redo because it makes a clicking noise and doesnt pick up the magic number (found solution, dump movie first) and i do have to edit the 3rd line's Copy to a Dummy but other then that its easy as pie (I'm just glad i didn't have to open my DVD drive, because i cant use the xtreme method to work (my chipset (via) wont unlock the drive)

Thats correct. Currently you can't get the ss with a Hitachi drive. You need a samsung or to get them off the net.
