Ok i've noticed BB hasn't been really talking about the start up intro that is supposed to mimic the 360 start up, and my question is, since he got that letter stating that has to remove the 360 x logo, how will he incorparate that change in the start up? unless he changes the whole thing and makes his own 360 start up and if so any ideas on how it should be?

THANKS
kics
....... yea... how would the startup will be ?
los93sol1
the startup isn't the entire little thing with the x globe, just the part where the blade runners slide in, then back out, it's a little cooler than that, but you guys will have to wait for the surprise wink.gif
timo1023
All I know is that he is including the X globe, but with a green bolt on it. At least, that was the plan earlier on. I'm not sure about anything anymore.

I belive it was already stated that for legal reasons some of the ms stuff was going to be changed but that once you got it you could do whate ever you wanted wink.gif

I have the complete xbox 360 intro in about 6 formats I plan on using it on mine.
I was thinking about making a mini dash wich would realy only serve as a shortcut....

Basicly the xbe would be set as your dash, and then load the intro, then look for another xbe, the real dash in this case MC360.
los93sol1
timo: no, the x globe scene does not and is not planned for the skin, only the blade slide scene
timo1023
Aww...

Could you host those vids or possibly point to a link where they are available for DL (if that is legal)? Also, is the idea you are thinking of possible? If so, please share!!!
Blackbolt
There where major legal issues with the intro, so we had to scrap the whole globe intro and have the fade in and then our animated intro.

I see no problem eventually with animating something similar, sending a video fo it to MS and getting confirmation from them.

One of the best things with having MS contact us is now we have a dialog with them and can ask their permision on things. So it ensures the saftey of myself and the fellow project creators and also the project itself.

If this was any normal skin I don't think MS would give a shit, but they obviously understand the coverage this shin has had and wanted to make sure we didnt cause them any bother. smile.gif

Don't worry you see the intro but once, and if we made it 20 seconds long like real 360 then you would all get really pissed quickly! So what we have now is great for everyone.

The coders and myself have booted mc360 thousands and thousands of times by now and we really happy with the current intro timing and we know eventually with our enthusiams and all the skills of the people out there something will come of an intro for MC360.

it will be cool if you have an x3 mod(like me) you can set XBMC as dash with the MC360 skin and disable the flubber animation to have it boot like its not an xbox, however i wish there was a way to disable the Xbox logo...

Anyway thanks Blackbolt for the reply.

There is a way to do that. My xbox jumps straight into xbmc.

lets supose i have a video that i want to put at startup... can it be done ?? instead of booting right to xbmc/ xbmc logo.. ??
Blackbolt
Dunno, but you will still get the startup window most likely.

Same here, it all depends on your BIOS.
Pimpalicious316
is there a way for us lowly softmodded people to disable the flubber intro?

Blackbolt
Why of course, mod your xbox with a chip so that you can boot with an Xecutor Bios.

Hey i'm curious to know, how to do that? because all that i know is that you can only disable the flubber animation and not the Xbox Logo at start up using x3 config live.
albertini
Why don´t make a diferent video, totaly original??
timo1023
With EVTool, I can take out everything and go straight to XBMC. Of course, I have to wait a few seconds...

I have 2 questions for the Blackbolt team:

1.How would you just have the blades slide in and out scene when your not using the x globe animation. doesn't that need to be connected with the x globe animation? or are you guys just going to recreate your own blades in and out animation with your new x globe like animation?

2.jeez it is getting preety close to release of the beta, so trailer 2 should be out this weekend or so right? and will trailer 2 finnally show the MC360 startup animation?

Thanks to Blackbolt and the rest of the team!
Blackbolt
Trailer 2 should be out this weekend, and YES it will finally, show the startup animation! biggrin.gif

So is there a way to replacethe flubber scene with the 360 start up, and get rid of the xbox logo for us softmodders (without buying mod chips of course, were softmodders)

no you cant because the modded bios isnt even loaded until xboxdash.xbe loads. the flubber is hardcoded with direct x instructions into the bios.
edwinmcdunlap
Actually, there is a way to get rid of the fubber animation and the Xbox logo on a softmodded Xbox; it'll actually even work on an unmodded Xbox.

Just don't turn your TV on until it's done booting jester.gif

I only wish I COULD my REAL 360 startup intro. The TV goes into standby too quickly so I have to turn it on and the 360 at JUST the right moment to stop it turning off again before the intro starts as then it does turn back on until the intro is finished.

When the skin is out and if we don't have a cool intro video, would someone be able to explain how to put in our own startup video?
