I live next to a Comp USA Radio Shack and a couple of other big retail stores and would like to pick up a pin header without waiting a couple of days for it to come from some online store.

Any suggestions?

Your best bet would be Radio Shack, if they don't have it you probably need to get it online. There might be other small electronics/hobby stores in your area that might have stuff like that though.

I always score them out of hard drives when i rip them apart for magnets to hang my tools above my bench and platters to be shiny, lots of them seem to have at least one useful one. they look kinda odd but do the job just fine.

well if the HD is broken ...then they are pretty useless...so why not?

I also want to buy some pinheaders, is this the right size for xbox (I mean would it fit the holes in the motherboard)? (Yeah I know you would have to cut it & put 2 rows on the motherboard because it's a long single row of pins). http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10-x-Pin-Header-36wa...1QQcmdZViewItem
