Is there any way to make the xbox read a backup of my mech assault game off the a regular dvd? I actually own the mech assault dvd, but apparently it is damaged to the point that NONE of my xbox's will read it. But I do have backups of all of my games on my harddrive on pc. Can I burn the game to dvd so that I can run softmod? Or... any other method of soft modding xbox? I have another xbox that is modded with chip, which is how I did backups, and also the harddrive is unlocked, so I was trying to do hot swap with that xbox hdd and my regular xbox hdd, which didn't work because I can't seem to do it fast enough. Is there any other way to do this softmod? Or get mech assault to run?

no original = no softmod. as far as your hotswap.. maybe check your methods, make sure you are doing it correctly.
