The Scene has an article describing an XIR remote that enables you to power on/off the box via the dvd remote. The instructions for making it include electronics schematics that i cant really build myself. Does anyone have one already made that i could wire into the box, or know of any kit that does this?

The X3IR performs these functions.. it's made by xecuter and does not require an xecuter chip (or any chip for that matter) to work. I sell em for $30 including shipping.
