I am...having trouble with my dvd drive. I bought a Clear case and it came with a clear peice that goes over the dvd drive (after the metal casing is taken off) I thought. So I removed the metal caseing on the dvd drive...top and bottom. and I set the dvd drive plastic peice on top like I thought it should go. Well the eject button doesnt work and I dont even see the drive spin up at all. Is there a tutorial for it cuase I dont think its right...

Well I tore it off and thought why do I need the metal shielding...I didnt know that there was a magnet in there that was required to operate. and I ask about the cd-r magnet cause I have an extra one that I dont need...

Ok, I was a bit harsh, but you really need to make sure your not throwing away anything important. Try the CD-R magnet, I see no reason for it not to work.
