i think it looks great. You elitists are idiots.

Ok, sure, it looks great. If random bling is your passion. The aim of modding your xbox is to crack it open, and learn stuff you never knew before. I think it's pretty much safe to say that the majority of us real modders, open up our cases to push the limit, to make it look crazy in some way. To do something with our console that MS never intended us to do. Sure there will always be those who push like crazy to make their xbox look great, and there will always be those who settle for the lack luster skin-job. I guess I say good for you when somebody slaps a skin on their case, but what really impresses me is when they actually open up their case and start taking stuff out, putting stuff in. I'm not talking about modchips, anybody with basic soldering skills can pull a mod chip off flawlessly. When I see somebody who cut through their case with a dremel
by themselves as a learning experience with hopes of moving on to bigger things, I'm truly impressed. Personally, I took on modding my xbox as a learning experience, hell, I always like putting flashy, shiny, colorful stuff in my electronics. I've had a PSP longer than an xbox, and I've had my eyes on a LED mod for quite some time, but I think I don't exactly have the skills for it yet, there's a lot of precise work involved.. So I decided it's high time I get an xbox, and some plans started to formulate in my head. Plans that involved soldering, cutting and a lot more. I figure, hey, if I get practice now, I can perfect it later, especially with the mod chips coming out for the PSP, thats going to be really hard to pull off. But, this is where I get my practice, on bigger things, as far as size goes I'm less likely to mess up, and if I do? Well then I won't be wasting a $250 device. Which brings me back to my point, we're no elitists, we just like
opening stuff that shouldn't be opened and
modding stuff that shouldn't be modded. I started with a computer, learned some stuff there and I am slowly working myself up to the smaller, more precise work. By no circumstances does having these ambitions make us elitists. There's always room for the add on modding, but for gods sake, when you slap a skin on, or buy a couple of cold cathodes and put them on the outside of your case
don't boast. It makes the rest of us sick to our stomachs.

Yeah, I didn't format, live with it.
