GENiSO
For those of you who for one reason or another haven't gotten around to making themes, I took the liberty to transform all of Loaded_Gun_Complex's wallpaper packs into .xpr themes. Here they are for your enjoyment.

Ps. I also added "Weave" by okt and the "Stones" by hardcorekid (I liked these 2 as well)
Pss. The file is xbox memcard compatible. Meaning if you have the pro action replay software and use a usb pen drive as a memory card, you can simply transfer the file to the "memcard" and then to your xbox (look under "E:\UDATA\00000001\000000000000\". For everyone else, just extract the files and goto the "00000001\000000000000" folder to find the themes.

Hope I was useful smile.gif

Most wallpapers are made by sdrowen. smile.gif

Thnx Geniso....

Much more comfortable to just use xpr themes...
Blackbolt
Shame you made an XPR, because you can only use them with the default theme. THose wallpapers look best in the carbon theme.
GENiSO
Yeah I noticed that last night. Is there no way to make .xpr themes that use either Carbon or Glass by default as well? Then could make 3 sets of themes...like DFLAME.xpr, CFLAME.xpr and GFLAME.xpr

I tried switching These themes with the new 6.11 build and the New Beta of the skin and it locked my skin up horribly. I had to reinstall! The last one I used before it locked up was the Matrix theme then after I selected it every time I would go to the Settings blade it would lock up and I would have to reboot. But From what I saw there were some pretty good ones in there. Any Clues as to why this would happen?

blackbolt .. i posted this in another thread but it most likely got overlooked .. i think the best way for wallpapers would be if you select a folder it loads all the pictures underneath it if named correctly as the backgrounds .. that way u could put them all in in one shot and we wouldn't need these XPRs ..

that way anyone can release skins in a folder as long as they stick to the correct naming convention ..

bartje006
I agree with that. A 'set default folder' (i.e. E:\Pictures\MC360\Wallpapers) option would be handy too.

Great stuff biggrin.gif

Geniso, Thanx for doing that i was actually in the process of asking BB if i could do that and see if maybe he would host them, but you beat me to it tongue.gif So thank you very much i will test them out and see what's up and also BB is correct The themes i make are great for the carbon theme, and i would bet also for the Gloss black one posted on his site for future release. Thanx again buddy! biggrin.gif

PS. For those of you who are having lockup issues with the .xpr's then just go to the top of the site and look for my work in custom wallpapers.

PSS. Watch for the new ones tonight!
sdrowen
well personally I think the images should be left as single pics.
I know the images i made are all themed together, & .xprs seem like an quick
way to switch.
but as some people have mentioned its nice to mix & match sometimes.
With .xpr files you are locked into "that theme"
So in a sence you a loosing freedom of choose.

Anyway thats my two Cents. Peace
GENiSO
It's not the .xpr files causing the lock ups. Locks up even if you dont have any extras. I know a theme.xpr "locks" you in but that is the point...it's a theme. People can still have seperate images for mixing and matching. This was simply for those of us who like to use themes smile.gif

Ps. your very welcome complex, keep up the great work. Love those papers

Thanx again for doing what you have ... but is there an easier way to go about adding these to XBMC? You know how you can place the new england theme in the media part of MC360? Is something like that possible?
Pennylane
Huh? Just copy these xprs to the mediafolder of mc360 (not the xbmc mediafolder!!) and it will be selectable under settings

The .xpr files themselves (not the whole folder) just need to be ftp'd to /E/apps/XBMC/skin/MC360/media/ and they'll be accessible from the theme selector.

As far as the images looking better if they're created for the carbon/glass themes, I agree. I'm working on it and attempting not to do so without angering the MC360 gods tongue.gif

I'm also aware of the .xpr themes not being semi-transparent while visualizations are playing. I'm working on that as well but my photoshop skills suck.
