This sucks.... sad.gif
I used to wake up ealry on Saturday's so I could play a couple of hours before my GF woke up and wanted to spend "quality time" I used to take off early from work to play. I put off shopping, laundry, bathing...
now i've done all there is to do...I'm left with a huge void in the center of my soul!!
ah well...back to life

is there a BST for prozac??
deadeyes989
Oh dude... I so agree with you... thats why I have a topic about moving my save to PC (So I can try out mods for it).

I used to play so much.... but now... 1000 gamer points later, nothing to do... but I still turn the game on, run aimlessly, and then end up turning it off..... I wish I could download something adding more guilds and another 1000 gamer points or something.
Tripme
aww man, you guys are making me depressed about this already.....i have 3 acheivements to go and im done sad.gif

I had a different experience. At around the 100hour mark, I just couldn't take it anymore. I was burned out. I couldn't even stand to look at it or hear the music. I'd been waiting since Morrowind for this game, and yet I couldn't stand it. Too much, too fast. I had to take a break for a month or so. After some time off, and having beaten GRAW and Tomb Raider, I was finally able to start playing again. I've just completed the main quest and now all I have left is the dark brother hood and the theives guild. I'm hoping to 100% it within a week or two.
Tripme
ya, im just finishing up the theives guild.......its almost as boring as the mages guild
Dalpura
I've just got the Mage's Guild (9 achievements) to go and I'm done. I plan on starting a new game once I'm done though, and doing everything differently to how I did first go around. The game's that big with that many options you could do that too, many times over. Human character this time, born under the sign of the Tower (because I fucking hated picking locks starting out grr.gif). And I'll do that face gen thing to look like me. biggrin.gif

Replay ftw.

Yeah, that sounds about the same as me. Try doing Kvatch at level 15+ 'cos its so much harder!

I'm with lowend. I've put in over 100 hours into the game and am exhausted by it. You also have to take into consideration that those of us that have done most of the quests and earned most or all of our achievements did so before the update that fixed a lot of the problems. That means that we had to put up with a lot of bullshit to play this game. I can't speak for everyone, but I can't stand to look at the game anymore because of that. Those glitches tremendously decreased the amount of fun I had with Oblivion.
davinator456
about 90 hours here- took a break for a while- been playing GRAW online.

played a little last night- im somewhere in the middle of the main quest- and i still have to do the thieves guild and fighters guild quest. completed teh dark brotherhood, mages guild and arena quests...

so i was a little bored myself, but i think ill start picking it up again a little bit at a time, but not the 5 hour marathons like before!

im level 34- major skills destruction conjuration restoration mysticism longblade heavy armor... maybe something else i forget how many there are.

I Am Aurora
man, i have like 30 achievements to go, and i had to play uno and marble quest ultra so i wouldnt quit playing, it got kinda boring because of me being on it all day all week long.
Maverick0984
well i'm quite a bit before you guys, i only have about 20 hours in and am a level 9 or 10 or something. i've been holding my leveling back so i get as many +5's as i can from concentrating on my minor skills.

however, it sounds like most of you just barrel through each set of quests, albeit the main quest, the dark brotherhood etc. whats keeping it pretty interesting for me is i'm basically doing all of them at once, i did up through weynon prior in the main quest then started hunting for guilds for something different, i'll do a couple quests in one guild, then move to the other one and then come back around to the first guild or main quest. it keeps it interesting for me, don't get tired of teh same type of thing. i dunno, just my method to the madness that is oblivion. obviously it is a very open ended game, which is what makes it so great.

Actually, I spent my first 40 or 50 hours trawling through dungeons and selling the crap I found, and I've spent most of my time completing quests that don't reward achievements. I can't fault Bethesda for making their achievements easy to acquire, but I played for fun. Like I said before, I had a blast with this game, but those glitches left a scar.

I'll get the new DLC after my discontent for the game wears off.
Maverick0984
ya, i see a lot of people measuring their "completion" based on the acheivements earned. there is clearly so much more to enjoy and do. Those that play the game solely to get those 1000 gamer points and once they got those consider themselves "done" are seriously missing out.
Dekedence
So far I'm the Arena Grand Champion and something pretty high in the Mages guild. I only did this because I thought it was fitting for a Battlemage.
lowendfrequency
Most of the quests I've done aren't guild or story line ones. When I 100% oblivion, I will be damn close to actually finishing all of the quests.
JustDanMI
Does anyone have a final count on the total amount of quests there actually are?

I've spent about 50-60 hours on mine, am at level 28 and still have yet to return the amulet for the first mission in the main quest. I've been running around exploring everything else. Any dungeon I come across I clear out, and any city I visit I steal everything worth value out of every building. Except for the imperial city, that place is just HUGE.

I am curious about the total amount of quests though, because I talk to everyone, and I do every quest I come across, except for the main one anyways.
Maverick0984
still haven't returned the amulet? level 28? good luck on kvatch...
twistedsymphony
I spent about half my time doing guild quests and the other half doing random quests I got from NPCs... went through each of the guild quests one at a Time. Arena, Mages, Fighters, Thieves, Dark Brother Hood Then the Main Quest.

I'd spend hours playing just raiding dungeons finding caves, working on my skills etc. When I got about half way through the Thieves guild the game started to wear on me so make a home run for the finish to see how the Dark Brotherhood and main quest turned out and put the game to bed.

I've played through several games since then. Condemned, Full Auto, Tomb Raider, and I'm playing through Fight Night now, next up is King Kong.

There are too many games I want to play, the lull in the market is sort of a blessing in disguise because it gives me some time to play all the games that are out without worrying about what's coming around the corner. If I run out of new games that interest me or feel like an RPG I'll fire back up Oblivion, still 100s of quests left to do I'm sure smile.gif

does anyone know where u can sell high priced items and get alot in return. im tired of have to sell alot of small priced items to get what i want. any buyers above 2,000gp? 5,000gp? 10,000gp? like the mudcrab in morrowind?
boxrocker

i'll never reach 100% because i Fucked up my tears of the savior quest!
i went into the quest unprepared. i ran around in the ice staring at my toes for hours,
while using my restore health spell a thousand times. i found the 4 tears around the
main rock, but when running around aimlessly, i think i kicked the last tear (the one on the
stone, near the ice sculpture) into that damn crevice between the 2 middle rocks! FUCK FUCK
FUCK FUCK FUCK (deep breath)................ okay.........i'm ok.... i'll get over not having
a perfect oblivion record. ***by the way, if anyone knows how to help me regenerate that tear somehow
or anything to help me get it, it would be fantastically apprediated! PLEASE HELP.......i'm ok...i'm ok.....FUCK!

hey boxrocker, how do you get fathis ules to pay 2,000 gp for items and stuff?
i can only get him to pay 1,500- whats the trick?

If I understand what you're saying it sounds like you have a situation similar to me...but yours is more important. I simply kicked a diamond under a bench and couldn't reach it.

As long as you can see it, you can use a telekinesis spell to allow you to pick things up at a greater range...its a pretty good way to pick Weyland Stones from those high up perches; I used to use an arrow but you sometimes knock it behind.

If not, then find / make a spell which delivers fire damage to a radius. I got Fire Blast...I'm sure that could blast the tear out of the crack.

Do you have the Thieve's Den DLC? You will need that. One of the guys in there can get you 2,500gp per item. Also, don't forget there is a silversmith in the bottom of the boat.

You know what I find having started a new character, is that I really miss my first one. I spent soooo much time leveling up the skills I really like, anything else just sucks.
plus he looks so sweet with full deadric love.gif

Doesn't the lady that you buy your upgrades for the Frostcrag Spire house have 4000?

Is that dependent on you having to buy the Frostcrag Spire DLC? Before I bought any DLC, the highest I ever received was 1200 gold, but I was only an expert in mercantile, not a master.

The loading Screens getting slower and slow untill it freezes or you clear your cache! That is what pissed me off, 5min loading screen on a next gen console!
Maverick0984
well i haven't noticed too much during loading, but when i'm in the save game screen where i can save and/or load a previously saved game BEFORE i've actually started any loading whatsoever, it takes a while to just move down the different save games during the selection process. i had nearly 100 save games in there at one point so i figured that was it, i deleted all by 6 or 7 of them now, and there is no change, and i have done the cache clearing...i think. not exactly the best confirmation in it.
