K guys so I decided to upgrade my version of XBMC to the 666 version today. As soon as I deleted my old one and installed the new one a problem arose.
Instead of loading the dashboard it just stays at the screen with the Xbox symbol and XECUTER2 on the bottom. I have had this before but it always ends up loading XBMC (now it doesnt). Now I cant even go into the FTP to fix this problem as it wont let me.
Plz help me, this is frustrating!!!!
Thanx

Yeah - I've got exactly the same problem. Tried both shortcut methods and still the problem remains.
I'm not aware of any fix for this yet.

Create a boot disk with a ftp client on it and fix your xbmc files.

Is it so hard to read the ReAdme First files, or even paying attention to how it works.. like installing it like an apps, and trying out the shortcut if your not sure of what your doing.. It was clearly stated all over the 666 package of how it was a new install method..

I don't know how many more freaking times people can say this, but make a boot disk. EvoX is usually the easiest to use as a boot disk. There's plenty of info out there -- usually all you have to do is get a copy of EvoX and burn it to a DVD. I left the EvoX settings bone stock and it boots up an FTP server and connects to my network via DHCP. That's what I always use when upgrading my primary dash, XBMC, and of course it's perfect for recovery issues, like you're having.
Of course, if you'd rather not spend a few minutes getting the boot disk together and would rather just bash your Xbox in, I can take it off your hands.
