i bought a horse early on in the game; never realized i was given one in weynon priory
(still never saw that horse); then earned shadowmere. after i got shadowmere,
i haven't seen the one i purchased. does the old horse dissappear if you buy/earn
a new one? i need help... anyone?
boxrocker
If you have shadowmere, you don't need any other horse... He doesn't die and is the fastest in the game.
oblivion_psycho
i don't think anyone will argue with that, but has anyone noticed their other horse disappear?
yes i agree boxrocker, but i still wonder if my poor first horse, Birnam is perishing in the
fields of oblivion, or frolicking with the deer somewhere in cirodill? ya never know.

poor, poor Birnam...

i payed like 5 grand for that damn horse!

i hate shadowmere because he doesnt follow me around like a good old 5k black horse does. ill hop off, lose him and have to go all the way back to the fort by cheydinal or whatever the hell it is to get him back. why does he not sit in the stables outside of the towns like a normal friggin horse. also there isnt much difference between a black horse and shadowmere

not dying is a big difference...

man, I laughed my ass off when I read that.....

when talking about there not being much difference i was talking about the speed of the horse.

also, i have so much money i dont know what to do with it (no glitches just looted a helluva lot of dungeons)
id rather pay 5k every so often to keep the horse with me then have to track back to that stupid fort and wait around till shadowmere shows up.

however, it does get kinda expenseive, b.c im too lazy to walk slow down a steep incline, and i always run down mountains at full speeds... my horse always seems to jump off the little ledges and kill himself... tongue.gif

I've never lost Shadowmere. He's always there if I fast travel. If you lose him, just fast travel anywhere and he'll be there.

Shadowmere eats 5K horses for breakfast! tongue.gif

yes, shadowmere is the best. I think you can even store items in him too.

Yeah, just hit it until it gets uncoscious, then loot it and put your items there. Do the same thing to get items from it. And whenever you lose it, go to Fort Farragut and it's there.

Where do you store things in Shadowmere? huh.gif

You don't even have to do that. Just fast travel anywhere and he should be there with you. He his for me.

Actually, I've lost it a few times, and it wouldn't come with me when fast traveling. But if you still happen to lose it, just go to the fort and it's there, just in case you'll lose it tongue.gif

Dekedence: You know, when you kill something, you'll be able to search the thing? You can then put your own stuff there (press left trigger to switch to your items). Same thing for Shadowmere, except it won't die, so you just hit it until it's unconscious.

At first I was thinking that you were talking about cutting him open ala Han in The Empire Strikes Back. jester.gif
