Thought we could discuss some tips or combo's etc while we are waiting endlessly. Links are good too. I only played SF casually . If this was MK on the other hand I could list most of the combo's, but alas if you people that aren't too good to share the knowledge lets get this going.

Combo's?

Strongest character?

Cheap style to watch for and counters?

etc, etc..

VOlition
sorry but what game are you talking about blink.gif ?

Streeeet Fighter

see thats why street fighter is such a great game every cheap move has a counter move thats why its still one of the greatest fighting games till this day....

Im a big ryu fan but I honestly think anyone who can master the game with zangief is a really good player... his moves take the most damage...

I used to be able to beat my friend's on the SNES version using one hand.... see if you used Blanka and your left hand, you could still control him w/ the d-pad, and had access to the L button. Course I don't my friends were all that good. I always liked Blanka though.

Nice post Shinamano. Reminds me of how much I hope you can turn the sound off except for the characters. biggrin.gif

You don't like the SF music? I would love to get Ken's theme as my ringer on my phone smile.gif

Anyhow someone has to see the egg right?

Barlog?

You win the prize...on some of the marque art for both Champions Edition and Hyper they spelled Balrog...Barlog...not very exciting I know...

Although I already have a pirated copy of the Japanese uncut version (with both English audio track and subtitles), I'm still getting this DVD the day it comes out tongue.gif

BTW, Street Fighter 2 has some of the best music in gaming ever!
I love Ryu's stage theme cool.gif

what kind of phone do you have? i have an n-gage and used bluetooth to transfer a .midi version of ryu and ken's BGM to use as ringtones (as well as many other SNES/NES themes) i might be able to give some pointers if you can't figure it out (but its very straight foward) (its not possible on verizon phones since they "customize" their phones to disable bluetooth and usb file transfer)

I have a Sanyo SCP 5500 by sprint...I am not sure if it supports any of the features you used, but the thought is appreciated.

Sanyo SCP-5500
Bluetooth enabled: No

there may be other ways to get the files on there, i remember a while back on my phone prior to n-gage (it was the really old nokia with the original snake on it) i was able to get composer instructions and text message them from a website to my phone and my cell phone would assemble the ringtone for me. the link to the site i used to get my sources was

http://arcadetones.emuunlim.com/arcade.htm

and i think about.com used to have a service that would send them. unforutnately that site just has nokia instructions, maybe you can find some conversion tools for your sanyo

looks like you just have to figure out what kind of format your phone wants then, that site looks like it can actually tranfer files, so here is a ton of midi's that your phone can probably handle (this is where i get all my n-gage rings from)

Yea so this game is never going to drop is it or any other game for that matter this summer. I'm pretty much past pissed off about new xbla releases. How long ago did we see this product in action anyways? What's the hold up and it can't possibly be lag. Look at games like DOA. This is age old SF for crying out loud. dry.gif
