I have tried to use this to install the retail drive on my Xbox and it still won't boot up after the complete install.
I have the X3 chip and can not figure out what is going wrong.

iim having the same problem ( soft modded though ) i have a hard modded one to...but thats not the case any ways it gives me an error.
i tried this because my games werent loading as in my screen froze in the main menu for every game.
i already tried xboxhdm befor it works but the games still dont so...
if you have it backed up try xboxhdm for dummies!

Well, the suggestion here is xboxhdm, only because if you have a HDD that is locked with a different key than the xbox can boot to, but this is probably not the case as you have a X3 chip...

What exactly do you mean it won't boot? Does it FRAG? Does it give an error message? If so, what number appears?
