hello everyone. I'm just getting started here and I just needed some things cleared up.
I have done my best to read all the tutorials from here and xbox100. So for I have goten files from XBINS: PBL for my bios, and EVOX as my dash from Xbins.
Can I ftp the files over to my stock xbox from my PC via crossover cable to install the new bios? Or do I have to put in from a memorycard game save (007).
I would really apriciate anymore advice. And have been reading tutorial all night
thanks!!!

You cannot FTP into an unmodded xbox. The easiest way to softmod is to get the hacked save onto a memory card and transfer it to your unmodded xbox, load the exploitable game, and then load the hacked save. PBL is outdated now, go back on Xbins and get Krayzies NDURE installer 1.1, it is the best and most up to date softmod installer.

I'd get a nkpatcher type softmod.
Krayzies UXE or NDURE
that PBL stuff is pretty old.

Wow thanks for the quick reply, you guys are awesome. Ok, so I should go back to xbins and download Krayzies NDURE installer 1.1 and xboxHDM.
Next I need to get the files on my xbox. I kinda looks like the easyest way is to go the game save route with the action reply.
after that i should be able to ftp my xbox to install the new dashboard?
thanks again!

Well, loading the hacked gamesave will get you FTP access (which you ought to use to copy your eeprom.bin back up to your PC, PLEASE!), but the package itself installs the exploit and dash for you.
Check out the readme.txt, it outlines this.

Ran into a problem. the file Krayzie_007_Ndure_Installer_v1.1.rar wont let me drag and drop into the action replay under the memory card side. it says "This is not a valid xbox save"
Do I have to change the ext to something other that .rar ??? please help!
thanks

Do you have winrar?
If not go to download.com and get it install it and open the file with it..
Inside there should be a folder that says 007 save or something like drag that folder onto your desktop then open it there should be a UDAT.zip folder in it thats what you drop into AR.

You should not have extracted the udata.zip.
Right click the udata folder and choose 'add to archive' select the zip option, hit ok then drag and drop the udata.zip.

ok that worked. I got the udata file on the memory card finally. BUT when I load it in 007 it goes to a weird screen with 21 on the top left corner. After I restart it is work fine thought. like nothing ever happened. any Ideas? BTW, thanks for every ones help to get me this far!!!!
I was doing some reading and it said that the problem might be that im using the Action Replay memory card and not the M$ one. Do you think that's it?

IMPORTANT!!!!:
The 007 version needs to be loaded a certain way in order to get the save working otherwise it will just boot to a black
screen. When you get to the load game screen DONT'T select load game but start a new one. Then when you reached the actual
game (after the cutscene), hit the start button and select quit game, Then go back to the load game screen and this time
select "load game".
The Installer will backup the C partition of your Xbox in the installation process. Therefore it's needed to have at least
200 MB of free space on the E partition (12,800 blocks). This should normally be available with any Xbox but some people like
to fill up their entire harddrive with songs or downloadable content. When doubting check the memory tab.

yeah, I followed those directions. I guess I will have to go and buy an other mem card. One more thing. the 007 Agent under fire im using is a non platinum hits, brand 1448507.

Did you transfer the save too your xbox HDD first ?

you have to boot the xbox to the stock dash (without a game in the drive) then goto memory and copy the gamesave from your mem card to the harddisc on the xbox. then coldboot the exploit game and run the gamesave.

You don't HAVE to use a m$ card its just recommended. I used an interact card.
I think we need a new tutorial on installing Krayzies Ndure. Even though its a fairly simple process all the info a newb needs is spread out across lots of tutorials, many of which are old and assume you have knowledge of certian things.
