Unusual.....I thought you would of bought your own leds and wanted to know ow to install em. Thats one weird led setup.... Open up your xbox and get your controller ports out an take off the metal casing on top. Hot glue two leds in on each side of the ports (where you can see through to the other side). Buy a
Y-Splitter Molex cable thing, and hook it up biggrin.gif

Someone else could probably give better advice tongue.gif

thanks man,
blame canada
there are only 4 leds, so just drill one hole in the back of each port for one led, hot glue the led in place in the hole, and plug in the molex connector. Then watch your ports glow wink.gif

WEll thanks sam, and canada here is a temp look at it(by temp i mean the EL kit is going to be replaced.. and a dvd window with green glow)

I personally would have gone with 2 leds in each controller ports.. its way more effective.. and cooler looking happy.gif

yeah i want to do that but i dont know how to manually wire them, like get the power off the mobo, or wiring, but if there was a tut or someone walkme through i could. What else should i do people. Give me some ideas!
i actually think i have an idea... I am going to buy a couple sets of these http://s51.photobucket.com/albums/f385/jma...nt=IMG_2392.jpg

and make a sick design on the top... well its green lights, can anyone guess the design on top?smile.gif

controller port led mod-
Check this out!!!!!!!!!!
seriouslysilly
yeah, this is definitely the way to go.
it's brighter and more noticeable.
IMHO it's easier and faster than hooking up the leds with wire and drilling holes in the port casings.

Those controller port lights would look sick! Go for it! smile.gif

Would a 100 0hm resistor work with the 2 leds or does it _HAVE_ to be a 47 0hm? (Sorry, I'm buying 100 x 100ohm resistors tomorrow and was checking if I need some 47's as I might do this mod too!)

100 Ohm will be fine. What color are you planning to use (to know forward voltage)?
