any ideas? can i just use an 82ohm resistor i use with blue leds that take 3.3 volts?

3.3V on the xbox is the orange wire from the PSU I think. You could just solder the + of the display to the point on the bottom of the motherboard where the orange wire connects to.

1.0 to 1.5 motherboards have a 3.3v supply from the PSU. You should be able to use that, its the three wires, probably orange that are nearest the blue and white wires.

On a 1.6 system the power supply doesnt have a 3.3v line that you could use so you will either have to find a point on the motherboard where 3.3V is present or get a voltage regulator and connect it to the 5v line on the PSU.

I need to get more colors of this thing, but what do you guys think? you have have 6 messages on the thing and it has upper and lower case and symbols and numbers so it can say just about anything.

cant do anything with the modchip but its a big display you can read from far off for an xbox.

NOW, what would be the SHIT would be if you could have tri-colored leds in there and have the disply of leds liek randomize or have it sound activated and where all the leds could switch between the 3 colors for an unlimited amount of insanity! Oh, now that would be sweeet

show me where to get one and im all for it. i know the orange looks kinda lame, its what i had sitting around tho.

this thing is programable, so i can put in any messages i want. favorite quotes, phone numbers, you name it. Ill start selling ads on my xbox. I can just put it in the front window or something.

next one will get mounted a little lower, i ran into problems with the lid catching it, so i trimmed it on the inside, its all good now tho.

they sell those belt buckle things at the mall, i used to laugh at people wearing those ugly things, but i might admit looks nice on an xbox , they had a sale on them i believe cuz no one would buy them lol
