Hello. I found 2 bugs in XBMC. I am running June 19th build, so I don't know if the first bug has been fixed, but I doubt the second bug has.

1. When playing a song (and possibly other types of files) in full screen with the info bar at the bottom of the screen, it will say "Track9/10". There should be a space between Track and 9.

2. When playing .MPG files from my digital camera, the audio and video are synced up. The video really lags behind the audio.

Again, sorry if these have already been fixed or mentioned.

neither of those are bugs in the program, but thanks for trying to help.

What do you mean? They've been fixed since the June 19th build?
slumberpod77
no i mean that they're not actually bugs in XBMC.
the first one is simply how the skin code is set up. "there should be a space" is only according to you and your particular asthetics. the way that the information is formatted & displayed is controlled by the skin. it may have been updated, you will have to check the changelog:
http://xbmc.cvs.sourceforge.net/xbmc/XBMC/...te&view=log
if it has not been changed you will have to tweak it yourself.

the second is almost certainly due to the format your camera writes to. since you didn't say what your camera is, where the file(s) are that you are playing back (local harddisk, network, etc), or if the problem persists when playing back the files on some other media player, it's difficult to say. in most cases when audio/video sync issues occur it's because of the formatting in the media (i.e. not XBMC's fault).

I meant to say are NOT synced up.

I posted my message before your message was posted.

But my camera is a HP Photosmart E217. The video plays perfectly fine on Windows Media Player, DivX Player, etc. Only problem on those is the scroll bar stops (and the player) only say the video is 3 seconds, but it does keep playing all the way through. XBMC doesn't have that problem, but like I said, the video lags behind the audio a lot and that doesn't happen on WMP and DivX, etc.

Oh, and thanks for telling me that the first bug has been fixed. I never check the skin changelog.
slumberpod77
right sorry.

if the files don't behave correctly in other media players, it seems to indicate that they are indeed slightly jocked up/non-standard. short of bothering the mplayer developers about it, there's not a lot you can do to "fix" this, though. XBMC does have an AV sync adjust built in, and you could use that to make the files play OK:
