Before my question just like to say, Xbmp is the best thing i've installed and it keeps getting better the more i read these forums. Big thanks to all.

Anyway, trying to get shoutcast working, read some stuff in here, figured out how to do it, says its connecting but times out. I think it's because of the way i've got my hardware set up.

Pc - connected to a switch
xbox - connected to the switch
internet connection connectted to the switch.

I can ftp my xbox and surf the net on my pc at the same time so it works so far.
But what can i do to get shoutcast files to connect.
Is there a way i can use my pc (relax or something) to stream the shoutcast files instead of them connecting directly to the net can the connect thru my pc.

hope the explains it well enough.

Thanks in advance. beerchug.gif

everything sounds good so far...

i have a similar setup, except i use a router instead of a switch.

Where do you have the shoutcast .pls or .sc files located? on the pc or on the xbox?

i have mine on the pc and it works great.

I have the pls files on the xbox, then i go to music select the hd and then click them. thats when it comes up connecting.

i don't know if this will help any, but try placing the .pls files on the pc shared by relax.

then browse to the relax share in xbmp and try playing then.

like i said, i don't know if it'll help, but its worth a shot right?

good luck
