Ok so i drilld holes in the dvd case with the metal drill bit for a window, but what should i cut it with?

Man i never thought i would have done this when i first got my 360. I orderd 2 60mm green led fans to place in ther

The window is a little crooked i painted the case with black krylon fusion looks pretty good

Lol i actually dont know what the hell im doing i started this all on sunday, i got tired of looking at my white case an envying everybody's 360 on here.

Actually it came with both those 2 of the cutting and a couple diffrent sanding tip sizes.

I dont have a clamp or anything so i used my foot while i drild the holes which is really,really stupid lol ahhhh what if i drilld a hole through my foot geez no more modding for me.

But when i start cutting i have a really heavy tool box ill put on the dvd case to keep it steady.

i havent taken my dvdrom apart...but if that peice flat or does it have sides?

if it has sides go on concrete and cut it. i always hold everything in my hand when i cut...idk..but i do.

Yes it does have sides, once you lift out the drive you have to flip it over to unscrew it then flip it back over and lift the case off.

The piece underneath is flat though atleast on the sides, an the circle in the middle comes off with a twist to the right if you look at it from the front i took it off because im going to paint the drive black once i get it all cut out and sanded.

Pretty spiffy accessory you got ther sure makes life easier i bet.

just go slow and be careful. make sure u have 10 toes and fingers after this mod.

damn...I didn't have the balls to cut my sammy dvd drive up like that. I took an old pc dvd-rom and cut that bastage up! I never tossed, for just such an occassion. May the force be with you on this project. And um...you might want to take some "before" pics of all your appendages....just in case.

Good new's.....i still have all my fingers yayyyyyy i did burn myself with the dreml's hot air blowing out I cut out the dvd window and sanded it now i just need to paint. You know this stuff isnt as hard as it seems once you actually do it.

yeah... we'll be the judge of that.
