Is there a way to determine the name/title of a game from the iso?

From the iso name 
Extract the default.xbe (even xISO is fine for this) and open it in a hex editor. The title of the game is in the XBE file at offset 41. You can then discard the default.xbe file as it may have been corrupted during the extraction process.
