My samsung Xbox dvd drive has quit working. The Xbox knows it is connected because the dashboard loads and i don't get an error message, but it never loads any games. It won't read anything i put in the drive, and It just goes straight to the dashboard, not even a dirty disc message. Does anyone know what is wrong with the drive?

Could be the lens is dirty or has failed. You can try putting a new laser assembly in it. There are tutorials here on how to clean and repair/replace the laser.
