Last night I opened my Xbox360 for the first time, (that was fun), anyways i find out i have a hitachi 47D, no prob, there is a supporting firmware, i read the guides, i have a MB with SATA, im good to go. So i hook my xbox 360 dvd drive up to my PC, boot slax, text go's by was to fast to ever see if it is mode B. Reset pc (from reset button) leaving xbox360 on, remove disk, boot into windows. Now i have a new DVD drive in windows but it is a diffrent name than i saw in dos (during boot) it shows in windows as ranomd letters and numbers as the name. I trie to use the auto flasher, no hitachi found, try to access it manualy, nothing found. So the drive is showing up but not correctly. Any ideas? my SATA controller is very new since it is on this MB...
