System Case: SB75G2 (Shuttle XPC)
Processor: Intel 3.0 ghz
RAM: 1 gig
SATA Version: IC6
SATA Setting: IDE not RAID
XBox 360 Drive: Samsung
Firmware: Xtreme0800.bin

First problem is the xbox360 likes to occasionally lock up the SATA bus and cause the PC from ever getting past the bios screen. If you wait long enough it goes through not detecting the drive at all.

Solution: Turn of 360, restart comp, go into bios, save (resets the bus, for some reason turning it off doesn't work), turn off pc, turn on xbox 360 for 20 seconds, turn on comp. Then it detects and can see xbox360 disc. Doesn't always work...

Second problem I pop in a Xbox360 dvd, like my own copy of Dead or Alive 4, and i rip the Security Sectors with DVDinfoPro with the 4 commands. After each rip i take out the game, close dvdinfopro, put the game back in, re rip the codes and i do a comparison. I find i get 2-6 bits off every time. Once in a while I get ones that have no differences... For the Love of God I can't figure out why.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

I tried using Xtreme 2.0 firmware and even have the 0800 enable burned out on a DVD and the drive is always undeteted in windows.

I'm so very very frustrated... 40 hours... and I feel I'm a victim technicalities...

sleep.gif ive seen ur problem, i use now the hot swap method , ( you can find it in the fourums) actually ive tried to rip games through the xbox360 (samsung drive) connected to my pc cause it never worked same as ur problem, i did over a 20 xbox360 (pal & ntsc) frimware update on both hitachi LG and toshiba samsung, and its always easy to detect hitachi lg on pc but very hard on samsung to be detected for a reason i dont know, and to say the truth i always flah my samsung drive by [b]mtkflash way without even detecting it on my computer and it always works, never failed.

For your problem i advise you to start backing up your games through the hot swap method for its easier and mush faster

anything else?

Thanx for the response tgf smile.gif Issue is the ss.bin <--- how do we get a reliable ss.bin? Is there a database we can compare md5 hashes of it? Is it normal to have a bit off between subsequent rips?

Thank you for any help you can provide. smile.gif
