Can anyone tell me if Me and a friend can play online with other people using the same console and gamertag/account?

I don't believe you can.
I'm pretty sure that Ghost Recon doesn't support guests playing with you

it's possible, and not difficult to figure out. When you clcik on xbox live it should give you 4 squares, you have use both controllers and log in two people.

This is what I've been wondering also. So does it support guests or not?

As tommyphat said, yes it does just log into xbox live from G.R.A.W and your freinds can all login as guests they will appear as your gamer tag 1, 2, 3 etc. I quite often have two or three guests on my account
