I am adding a clear ghost case to my xbox but I am keeping the white faceplate and the chrome dvd tray, since the hard drive side bezelis crome I am keeping that but I want to paint the top of the Hard drive white and the top and bottom grey grilles white too.

What paint would you recommend and what tools, I ask this because I want to do it with least effort and price to buy all the parts as possible as I currently do not own any painting things?

sandpaper 600, 1500, & 2000grit, paint of your choice (I recommend using krylon fusion, that stuff is good ) newspapers and stuff so you dont paint your floor or table lol, and your hands. there are tuts on how to paint in the TUTS section

I dont think you understand I want an easy job not an S.A.S mission I was thinking get some krylon fusion paint and wahey all done

Also im in the UK and I cant get ahold of krylon fusion online anywhere is there a good equivalent or?

dude it doesnt matter what paint it is, whether it needs prepping or not, you always[u] sand and wash if not you get orange peel and such

i dont think he has to worry about prepping and whatnot if its just for his grills.


Just go to your local hardware store and ask about a good plastic paint that bonds to plastic well. You should get a good result even if you don't prep if you just spray in realy even coats, and dont apply too much paint

Is there duplicolor in the UK? You shouldnt have to sand the grills, but you will definately have to sand the hardrive case before painting

Yeah thanks for your help people, im just gonna go find duplicolour...any specification tips for any paint type if I have to find another brand? Like car paint? plastic paint etc Also I only need white to match the faceplate rly

If you're in the UK, get Plastikote, best paint around IMO, and sold in loads of places.

get some plastikote its gud stuff a used it to spray flames on my pc case today

if you do not wetsand it will look like shit.. plain and simple.. it's another $10 for a assortment of differnet grit paper.. also get a can of clear coat...

Meh I dunno Im gonna finish all the other mods and see if the grey stock colours go with the clear case (I know they wont but my laze might take priority)
