hmmm..."bullshittery", that's a new one. And I agree with what someone said with one of the very first posts. Make one, gigantic, all knowing Madden game that needs nothing more from year to year and charge for an online update of that game. All madden's look the same anyway, with the exception of madden 06 for the 360 which was total trash. Hell, the $20 they're supposedly going to charge for this thing can pay for half of a decent game (top spin, table tennis...) or even get you a multitude of xbox live arcade downloads. So, to hell with EA, I'm not buying another EA game ever because I agree that 2k games have been much better lately than EA.

I don't play football games much. When do decide to play them I would much rather play the NFL2K Football games. I used to play the hell out of NFL2K football when I had my Dreamcast I really enjoyed that game. I think that out of all the Madden football games I have ever played I can honestly say that I didn't enjoy playing them as much as the NFL2K games. I don't care how long this Trailer/Behind the scenes look or whatever they're calling it is. It's still just video about a Shitty game. We pay enough for games as it is. Keep the demo's and the gametrailers FREE.

EA didn't like Xbox Live at all as they got no money from people playing their games on it, then they cracked a deal with MS to get some money from the subscriptions (stupid as MS uses the money to maintain the service, EA just uses it to play with). Seems like EA is just a money hungry animal lately.

They have some good games, but they need to stop being so greedy.....

Logic would dictate tha no one would pay for this. Why, commercial's are free. A company has to pay people to get the info out there. Hence them paying millons to tv ad agencies to show their commercials. But some idiots (and PLEASE take this personally if it applies to you) will pay. They will actully pay EA for something that EA will then have to pay FOX or G4TV to show.

while i agree that the $20 is absolutely ridiculous. I myself have liked the madden series. I liked the 2K series as well, but there's no use crying about it because it does not existing anymore. the upgrade from '06 to '07 will be worth my money because of the addition of everything they unforutately left out in the 360 version of '06.

Other than that, those saying that new games are just it's updated rosters....you can get updated rosters off of their servers when you connect to live, don't need a whole new game for it, haha.

i have to agree with eeryone ea sucks and its dumb but you knoe those madden fans will buy it. i have to disagree with the fact all sports games are the same. ever play blits for the n64 and the later blits 2001 no rules fun. but then again that wasent a ea game. i mean the game was totaly ment to be fun it was nowhere close to be real like lol. look at the def jam games the first being a wrestler and the second being a street fighter and those are ea games. knothing like smashing someone into a car or tossing them into a oncoming train or tossing them out a window lol.

sometimes people want a bit of realism, just because you don't prefer it, it doesn't mean it is dumb, pointless, or a bad game.

i don't like doa4 type games but i don't think the game sucks because of it...maybe it does, maybe it doesn't, i really don't know, haven't played it, just using it as an example that just because you diagree with the style the game is going for doesn't mean the game is a bad game. i personally feel the blitz series or any of the fantasy type football games tend to get very very boring after a very short time. i don't think i've gotten through 1 full game in those :-/.

I personally love madden, mainly because I am a huge NFL fan and I love the realism every new madden game provides. I play madden for simulation of the actual thing played on sundays. I love the strategy part as much as the actual control of the players. If you notice every year the cover player on madden denotes a new feature, ex. this year is shaun alexander, so they added the run to daylight feature. I will always keep plopping down 60 dollars a year to get a couple new features, nicer graphics, and of course the new rosters. Plus madden challenge is dope.

Well I must agree with you guys. First off Madden 07 simply sucks and was a waste of money. But only problem is....what other football can I play? I can tell you this, I will not ever buy another one. You can bet that. Second, EA does make some other cool titles. Sometimes I think they are made by different companies and EA just pays them to put the EA logo on the box and in the game.

THere really needs to be some sort of class action law suit against EA and the NFL for not allowing any other company to make a NFL game. It is sooo not cool to force football fans to buy a game because there is no company out there that can make a NFL game.

I will end this rant, but XBOX owners really need to avoid any Madden or EA sports title from now on. EA has been stiffing us for years and it's time to show them that we will not support half ass games on our kick ass next gen console. I mean who cares that the grass looks better? How about fixing the damn gameplay?
