i have a Hitachi LG 47D model # GDR-3120L F/W 0047DJ
pioneer DVR-111D....RITEK DVD+DL media

i used a xecuter connectivity kit to connect my drive to the PC
the first time the PC recognized the drive put it on mode B ( which means that my SATA chipset is good)
flashed it with (Xtreme firmware for Hitachi 47D Xbox 360 from Commodore4Eva) which i think its the first release, tried to play a copy of prey with ritek +DL media at 2.4X burnt 2 copies with pioneer DVR-111D 1 copy with CLONE CD AND 1 copy with DVD decrypter....none of them worked....the original game of prey still worked...i flashed the drive with ("GaryOPA" Xtreme v1.2 firmware for all Hitachi's v32 / v36 / v46 / v47 / v59) on top of the xtreme firmware without restoring to original, plugged in to xbox 360 and got an error screen with error E64, the laser wont even move or the drive wont open.....connected drive to PC and from the bios the PC did not recognize the drive in mode b or regular, tried both sata ports.......DID THE CONNECTIVITY KIT KILL MY DRIVE? OR WAS IT THE SECOND FIRMWARE AND DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM......the 360 still works perfect without the DVD drive.......IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME I WOULD BE TREMENDOUSLY GRATE FULL!!!

If you flashed it already and org. work then your drive is flashed, so stop messing with it before you get a $400 brick.

now the problem is your media. USE VERBATIMS at 2.4x and always booktype: DVD-ROM

Good Luck.

my pioneer DVR-111D it does automatic booktype......and right now i cant try any new media because the drive wont open and it doesnt seem to work at all
i cant even flash my drive again because my PC wont recognize it...it says drive not found in SATA port....and this is in every port that i try it in on my pc and i tried put the connectivity kit in different modes still doesnt work

Your drive sounds like it became a brick.

Did you extract the original FW from the drive? Do you still have a copy - you can order a replacement drive. You will need to extract your key from the original FW.

Since the drive is not recognized in windows - it sounds like you cannot enable mode b. It is usually caused by a bad flash since the routine to enter mode b is within the FW itself.

Good Luck - I hope you have your key.

I don't think it is the media - since the drive won't even open.

yeah agreed. Seems you have a big probelm that even affects your other drives. Try using hack/booting with nothing but 360 SATA connected then see if it will recognize.

good luck

i just backup the FW with the first FW that i used which i have saved but i dont know if that extracted the key and if i order a new one and i dont have the key...it wont work with my mother board?
in case it works again with what tecknique do i extract the key or wat program?
shadowwarz
does anyone know how to extract a key from a backed up FW and without having the drive it self because i think my drive is briked and i will have to get a new one but i only have the FW backed up....or if i could get it from the mother board itself?
trick91
KDX can extract the key from a backed up firmware file if its proper

I am very sorry to see that you've bricked your drive. sad.gif

Here is what you did wrong IMO.

-Why did you use an outdated flash?
-why in the world would you flash over another firmware without restoring it? never theless two different releases. grr.gif

-why didnt you ask questions or read the tutorials fully? or browse the forum? ohmy.gif

very expensive lesson tongue.gif sleep.gif

Latest release everyones recommending is Garyopa v1.3 7in1 Flasher

I'm guessing orig.bin, but keep the files safe in more than 1 location until you fix the drive.

Well, as the drive has to be in Mode B and have a drive letter, that could only mean Windows.
although sometimes Safe mode is required, True MSDos is ONLY for the Samsung flashing.
