Here's LogMod v1!

From reading another topic it seems some people wanted this so I took some time to make this Mod. Not too bad. Basically this allows you to set a custom background image for your login screen if you are using profiles. It's just like setting up custom backgrounds.

Start --> Personal Settings --> Appearance Management --> Custom Backgrounds --> Set Separate Backgrounds --> Login

If you don't set a background, it will use background-intro.png as the login background, which is found in the texture.xpr. Not sure if I should keep it that way or not. Theme creators might feel the desire to create custom background-intro.png's which will also affect startup animations and transition animations for exiting extras. you'll see what i'm talking about if a theme person decides to do this.

To install, just unzip the file and ftp the files to your MC360 PAL directory.

Can't wait to see and download what some of you have in mind for login screens. I might have to update my mod so you guys can upload to the site and download them from the marketplace. If you want to know, this is how the screen looks to set your custom login screen.

Here's the updated login mod for those interested. this is for the latest mc360 release. if you have an old mc360 version, use v1 of the mod.

After addin this hopeful mod, I get a blueish overlay on my Media Background and a hint of green on Games background, but the games one goes away after a split second. Also, the selected background for the login screen doesnt show and the gamertag is all messed up with it and the "GamerTag Not Set" on top of it. I have refreshed the whole xbmc, mc360, marketplace etc. Still the crazy overlays/no login BG GT bug. Any ideas?

the login mod would have no effect on any of those symptoms since it only modifies three files, none of which you mentioned except for the login screen. however it seems that you are using an old version of either the mod or mc360. make sure you have the version from above your post and the latest mc360.

Ok we have been redoing the login window anyway, so what we can do is indeed add an option to replace the login background with custom backgrounds too, I will start the ball rolling on this asap.

i have the latest of xbmc and both mods. I ALWAYS get the latest before posting anything about an error:P
I did notice this though. the master user settings are fine, its only a second user's login screen that is messed up. Try before you deny:P

Our good man Rocky5 has completed the addition of this option to the current internal MC360, you can expect it when release out next point release.

ahh, i made an assumption. you can only have one custom login screen. i thought you meant it never worked. the login screen can only be set by the master user and takes on it's settings from there. right now you can't have a login switch when switch to a different user and that's an xbmc thing. the other stuff would still happen with or without this mod. test before you deny.
