I recommend trying the Slax CD method for your Hitachi Drive (I'm assuming you have a Hitachi drive, as you would not need to get your Drive into mode B if you have a Samsung) and if that doesn't work... buy an Xecutor Connectivity Kit or the Xeno Connectivity Kit. While the Cross-wire trick might seem simple, (which it very well may be to some people), you can brick your Hitachi quite easily with this method. My advice would be to have a bit more patience and to take some time to read every tutorial you can find, (from this site and elsewhere); and cross check all of the information you find. There's a lot of misleading information out there, and I doubt that you want a bricked drive due to your haste.

You may have to wait a few days to get your connectivity kit, but it is well worth it to avoid the crossed-wires method if you can help it.

I have the Hitachi 47DJ drive and its connected to my PC right now. I guess I will try the slax method.

Then that would mean, your mobo / adapter is not compatable.
