There is some way to set the booktype of DVD+R DL to dvd-rom for my pioneer A09?

I tried to set the booktype with the dvdinfopro and also I upgraded the firmware of my burner to 1.58 but the booktype is still the same.

Does dvdinfopro even give you an option to change it? because if you have the option to change it, that usually means your drive supports bitsetting. If it dosent change, then you know somethings up. But if you have the option, it should work fine.

i could be mistaken but i thought this drive automatically sets the booktype to dvdrom

look around for jesterace, he has quite a bit of knowledge on this sort of thing

if the firmware doesnt support it , there is no way to change the booktype to -rom

try looking for hacked firmware ,
