ok i just got my 360 and im going to be backing up my games, dont want to accidently ruin them and what not...

i know there is news related to this all over, but its everywhere, not connected, and if i could just get a nice summary together here, maybe it could be pinned somewhere for people new to the 360 like me?

a) i read that a certain brand of dvd-dl burner can have the firmware flashed i think so it can read and extract the 360 iso's with that?
whats the best way to do this? which burner should i get or i know you can flash the 360 drive and hook it up to the pc and extract them that way?

cool.gif about flashing the 360 drive, i know there are various chips and things for sale now, but what is the easiest way to do this, and I'm pretty sure i saw on the front page one time a flash you can apply onetime, it can tell the difference between a backup, and an original for xbox live..

c) what media is best to burn on?

d) they still cant detect backups on xbox live right, how risky is that?

HI,

Use Pioneer 111D and Verbatim DVD+R DL Booktype= DVD-Rom at 2.4x is your best bet.

they cant detect it now.

read the geebee guide
