ok one of my freinds wanted me to look at hsi xbox and figure out what is wrong with it

this is an unmodded v1.0 xbox and when attempting to boot it it tries to power up 3 times(ya know, turns on, then off, then on again), then give the red & orange fashing LED(with nothing on screen)

i have swapped out video wires to no avail and have also checked for possibly broken leads...

would anyone here know what may be wrong with the damn thing?

if its unmodded send it back to M$..

unfortuneatly, M$ wont fix it as he already sent it to a repair shop who opened it and did nothing(ya what a rip =)

so im pretty much his last hope for the thing

Sounds like a BIOS error. Are you sure he wasn't trying to mod his XBOX and messed it up somehow?

i find no signs of any attempt of modding(and besides, he cant weild a soddering iron worth sh*t )

3X reboot sounds like the TSOP, V1.0 you say? try the matrix, I love mine, easy install, no solder, with that you could at least get it to boot...and from there you can do much much more.

i have this same 3X rebooting problem and its a real bitch hehe...i cant figure out whats wrong...my xbox is chipped and i figured maybe theres a loose wire or something cuz if i hit it sometimes it works. tell me what i can do plz

ill just have to test it with a mod chip then(when i get another one in)

but this xbox is unmodded....
